The Golden Glow of Christmas Past aka "The Glow" was founded by Jerry Ehernberger in 1980 as a group for collectors of old Christmas light bulbs. Over the years, the Glow expanded to include all aspects vintage and antique of Christmas lights, ornaments, and decorations.  The Glow now has over 2,000 members world-wide and is open to everyone who loves collecting and learning about old Christmas. 

An annual convention is held each summer in a different city in the US (2025 is in Chicago, 2026 is in Norfolk, Virginia) where a week-long celebration features lectures, educational round tables, room hopping (to buy and sell) in the host hotel, a sales room, and fabulous themed dinners and banquets. The annual membership also entitles each member to six (6) issues of the educational The GLOW magazine a year.
